YNW Melly also known as Jamell Demons is a young American rapper, who has been behind bars since early 2019. Melly has been serving jail time alongside two other rappers, Cristopher Thomas Jr and Antony Williams.
Melly grew up in a troubled neighborhood that was characterized by drug abuse and gang violence. Additionally, his parents were low-income earners and this made life more difficult. YNW Melly Death Rumors
YNW Melly is not new to death hoaxes, in fact, in 2019 he was subjected to several of them. One article by Channel 45 claimed that Melly had been stabbed to death by an unknown assailant while in prison. This misleading news was further backed up by an article from NSFNews which claimed the rapper had succumbed after been stabbed.
However, this news was quickly put to bed by Melly’s mother who assured the public that her son was alive and well, via an Instagram post.
Health Update
In 2019, Melly tested positive with the novel Covid-19 virus while in prison. This sparked a lot of speculation about his well-being. He, however, managed to recover from the virus and has not been to the hospital with any concern in recent times.
Troubles with the Law
Melly is in prison after been charged with the double murder of his two friends. The murder incident occurred on October 26th, 2018, in Miramar, Florida. However, Melly was arrested in February 2019 and is facing the risk of life imprisonment. Additionally, Melly is also a suspect in the murder of Gifford’s Sherriff’s deputy which happened in 2017.
